Cubbie & Co. team head to Sitges Bear Week

There's something genuinely magical about Sitges during Bear Week. The narrow streets of this Mediterranean town come alive with laughter, the beaches turn into a patchwork of furry bodies soaking up the sun, and the entire town becomes a vibrant celebration of our community. This September, the Cubbie & Co. team will be heading to Bear Week, and I couldn't be more excited!

Why Sitges is important

Bear Week is special. While it's one of the largest Bear Weeks in Europe, these gatherings are about more than just parties – they're about connection, acceptance and celebrating who we are.

The town's welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal place for bears, cubs and their admirers from around the world to gather. Think lazy beach days stretching into vibrant nights, enjoying tapas and sipping sangria with old and newly made friends. A unique sense of belonging comes from being surrounded by your community.

Learning from our community

Our small but mighty Cubbie team is approaching this trip with open hearts and minds. Yes, we're bringing some exclusive merchandise (including those cheeky limited-edition Cubbie stickers you've been asking about), but more importantly, we're bringing our curiosity and eagerness to learn from the international bear community.

I'm particularly excited about the conversations we'll have. Every bear event has taught me something new about our diverse community. Whether it's chatting with bears from different countries or learning about local LGBTQ+ history, these interactions help shape Cubbie & Co.'s understanding of what our community wants and needs.
